The do's and dont's are as followed;
Do!
- Use a clear font, so that the audience can see clearly the titles
- Use aappropriatee sizes for images and font.
- Use clear photos that are in focus
- Use photos that are an appropriate shape for the page
- Use a layout that follows the rule of thirds for compositions, this applies to when taking the photos
- Use an appropriate type face that follows; genre conventions and a house style
- Follow the conventions for the 3 colour rule and use colours that are appropriate for; images, font and backgrounds.
- Think carefully about how to use and integrate; font, text & language and images - The placement of text next to an image will anchor specific meaning
- Use appropriate industry logos and conventions and position them correctly; barcode, date copyright, titles, artist name
- Be creative and have fun!
- Stretch images, this will make them out of focus and look odd
- Use layer styles
- Use any unnecessary effects. Any effects used, MUST suit the genre
- Place the text across the artists face
- Use a font because you 'like it' - that is not a good enough reason to use a font
- Feel you need a separate photo on every panel - be creative!
