As a group, we decided that our final song choice we are going to do is by a British Grime artist Scorcher and the song is called It's My Time. We chose this song because the lyrics and the video of this song is very inspirational as it is about Scorcher himself being signed to a major record label but the video is saying that you can achieve whatever you want in life if you put your hard work into it, also, he's saying it is his time to shine referring to the title of the song ‘It's My Time’.
Our teacher told us that we shouldn't copy the video when filming therefore we are planning to use different locations alongside props to make the mise-en-scene work well together once it has finished. We are filming at daytime as well as night and this is different to the original video because Scorcher filmed it on top of a roof at night time. Together, we discussed who we're going to use to film the chorus as it supposed to sing b a crowd. We came up with an idea and maybe if we could organise and get some people we know to sing it for us, maybe about seven to ten people would do.
