FINAL SONG CHOICE

this video has alot of meaning. it shows the improvement of people and what people are achieveing and how much talent they have.
this video made our group become very creative with ideas as any talent can be expressed on it.
we came out with the ideas:

x-factor style - singer winning
running and reaching the top
a group of teens singing the chorus
breakdance
writing lyrics
level 1,2,3,4- reaching the top slowly

all these to show talent and how people are getting somewhere in life and its their time to succeed.

in lesson we took still shots to build up to the final piece, we did brainstorms to put in all our ideas and make it into one. we also looked at different styles of taking the shots for example the first shot is of the Artist and we are going to do a twirling pan shot from the back of his shoes turning around his whole body to his head, this is to emphasis that  he has started from the bottom and slowly but surely going to the top. Aswell as that it is to show the props used as we will be showing the designer make clothes worn. we are going to take midshots of people holding a clock for it to connect to the lyrics as the song is about 'its their time' this will be a good technique as well as a good sense of humour. additionally we are going to get different race people to do the chorus singing as it will signify the multicultural background and the achievment. 
Location:
We have decided to go to canary wharf for the shooting as the mise en scene would relate to the video exactly. The river at the background and the nightsky which will illustrate the story of the song. West end and leicester square at night to capture the bright lights. we are going to have a variety of talents shown with match cuts for emphasis and  to show that it is time for many people to change and reach somewhere with something they are good at.
