Lip Syncing Tutorial & Filming Practice

In this lesson, we got to learn how to use lip syncing. We learnt how to match the video and the song together by using... The result of this is when the product complete, it'll look more realistic and accurate. There are two ways how you can match the song and the video together.
  1. You can match it visually by matching the lips with the sound.
  2. You can match it up by listening to the song and match it with a marker.
Our teacher advised us to use method number two as it is easier to match and also it saves a lot of time.

The Lip Syncing Activity:
As a group, we was given an hour to practiced lip syncing to the song that the teacher has given us. The song is called Boogie Nights by HEATWAVE. Our task includes using different types of shots, this means that we had to shoot it over and over again.

New Skills:
In this lesson, I've learnt how to lip sync and doing it the right way so it won't take up a lot of time.

What I found challenging:
I found out that how to lip sync is not easy at all. It takes a lot of practice to get used to.

Difference between editing a music video and thriller:
The difference is that with music video, you are more likely to edited it to the beat whereas in thriller, it doesn't matter how you edit it. Furthermore, with music video, you don't have to worry about the continuity of the editing as you can cut to a different location and have many different types of shots.
