NARRATIVE: This song tells the story from a girls point of view. In this video the boys are trying to flirt with her but shes not having it and saying 'them boys are hooligans.' She doesnt like the way they are acting towards her and shes letting them know, directly shes rejecting them, 'pinches my bum and i'm looking at him like, eh waaaaah.' The boys are thinking theres something wrong with her as they dont get rejected and shes being unique to the others.
GENRE: The genre of this song is RnB, Hip-hop.
REPRESENTATION: This song is a representation of gender.
It presents the males as a 'girl magnet' but this specific girl isnt having their nonsense. The males seem as if they have to get the girls number, what they have their eyes on they have to get. It presents the female to 'play hard to get' to mess around with the minds of the men, she's saying she doesnt want him but in a way is leading the males on. The females not to be easy and to realise 'boys are hooligans.'
MEDIA LANGUAGE (camera & mise en scene): In this video their are a variety shots. There is an establishing shot of the whole scene, when they are walking up and down. There is closeup shots and midshots of the singers. There is high angle shots of the girls dancing. The mise en scene is a room which is empty but classy with the carpet and chair, (thrown) also the girl wears a crown which gives the audience the elegant look. It also gives us the sense of higher class then the males in the video, as the props on her are more expensive and gives the audience the sense of more money. Also there is a shot of her sitting on the thrown and the guy lifts her up and sits down, this is the idea of 'he can life her off her feet.'
EDIT: There is not much editing in this video, other then blending the shots in as there are many shots from different angles. All these shots make the video look more attractive to watch. There is a jump cut which goes from the girls point of view to the males point of view.
SOUND: The background instrumental is soft but not quiet, it has a loud beat but not as upbeat. The singers voice is on a normal level as if they are talking, and the song is calm and informal which makes the audience feel comfortable as the singers act how ordinary teenagers would act if they were in the scene.
