Students Music Video Task

In this lesson, we analysed previous A2 student's work, in order to gain a proper understanding of how to do it ourselves.
One that I particularly liked was Adam, Lisa, Nasima & Sayvita's work, who made a music video to the song "Everybody Needs" by VV Brown.
They had a variety of shots, such as mid-shots, close up, extreme close up, in different locations, which make the music video somewhat interesting. The lip syncing was pretty accurate, which probably made this easier to edit. With the music video being black and white, this allowed them to incorporate the red edit of "love" into it, which made the video more interesting. I liked the shots where they involved the public and other people, by getting them to hold up signs that had the memorable parts of the lyrics on "Everybody needs you and needs me". I think the video could have been more dynamic as it seems most of the shots were taking using a tripod, this was what i think was their down fall. If they had of used more handheld this would have looked a lot better, however i do understand that handheld is pretty hard to carry off. Overall the music video was pretty good.
