First I imported my chosen picture into photoshop CS5.

I then used the magic wand tool to select the unwanted background.
Then I cleared the background and used the lasso tool, to get rid of the background around the face.
I then changed the size of the image.

I then used the magic wand to select it and inverse the picture, then copied it.
.

I then made a new canvas, 12 x 12 and also made it transparent
Transparent canvas
I then used the bucket tool to fill it with black.
I then copied the inversed image onto the canvas which created another layer.
I then repeated the steps above with the next image.
This time, instead of just magic wanding it, I also used the rubber tool to blur the edges of the clock.
I then used lasso tool and inversed the picture and copied it.
I then pasted it onto the black canvas with the other image and rearraged it.
I then finally started to put the artist name and title of the album.
